ALICE COOPER, DROWNING POOL Added To Iowa's LAZERFEST

ALICE COOPER, DROWNING POOL, RED, HALESTORM, VIOLENT SOHO and HAIL THE VILLAIN have been confirmed for this year's Lazerfest, set to take place Sunday, May 16 at Indianola Balloon Grounds in Indianola, Iowa. Meanwhile, STONE SOUR has cancelled its appearance at the event.

The festival billing is shaping up as follows:

ALICE COOPER
DROWNING POOL
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH
GODSMACK
HAIL THE VILLAIN
HALESTORM
HELLYEAH
PAPA ROACH
RED
ROB ZOMBIE
SEETHER
SKILLET
THREE DAYS GRACE
VIOLENT SOHO

A KORN-headlined Lazerfest drew 15,000 fans to the Balloon Grounds last year. Ryan Patrick, Program Director for KAZR, tells The Des Moines Register ticket sales are already outpacing last year's event.

"Contrary to popular belief, Lazerfest can sell out," Patrick says. The festival grounds are being oriented to hold around 20,000. "This is shaping up to be the biggest Lazerfest yet. We have been fortunate that we haven’t used all the space available at the Balloon Grounds."

Tickets will be $35 until April 5 and are available through Ticketmaster.
