CANDLEMASS Mainman Inks Deal With Mascot Records For KRUX Project

CANDLEMASS mainman/bassist Leif Edling has inked a deal with Holland's Mascot Records for the rights to his latest project, KRUX, which is tentatively set to feature ENTOMBED drummer Peter Stjärnvind, ENTOMBED bassist Jörgen Sandstrom (on guitar), ARCH ENEMY/SPIRITUAL BEGGARS guitarist Michael Amott and ex-RED FUN vocalist Tomas Person. At the moment, Edling is recording rough demos at the home studio of OPETH mainman Mikael Åkerfeldt with a view towards tracking the group's self-titled debut in May for a late summer/early fall release. According to Edling, “I'm very pleased with the material and I think the record will be even heavier, harder and more epic than [CANDLEMASS' 1999 effort] From the 13:th Sun.”
