DREAM THEATER, FATES WARNING, GORDIAN KNOT Supergroup Takes Off
DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy, FATES WARNING guitarist Jim Matheos, and CHROMA KEY/ex-DREAM THEATER keyboardist Kevin Moore were at the Carriage House Studios in Stamford, Connecticut, between June 2nd and June 9th writing and recording material for a project that was brought to life by Matheos, and which is scheduled for release on Inside Out Music at the end of October or beginning of November. GORDIAN KNOT/ex-CYNIC bassist Sean Malone was not present at the Carriage House Studios, but will still be participating in this project.
Photos taken at the Carriage House Studios during the above-mentioned sessions can be viewed at this location.
Daniel Gildenlöw of PAIN OF SALVATION was originally asked to be the project's vocalist. However, shortly before the recordings started the project decided to carry on without Daniel, and have Kevin Moore handle the vocals instead.
